Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was born in Freedom Fields hospital in Plymouth, Devon, England, to Fiona, a fitness instructor, and Charles Huntington-Whiteley, a chartered surveyor. She has two younger siblings, Toby and Florence. Her great-great-grandfather was politician Sir Herbert Huntington-Whiteley, 1st Baronet, and her great-grandmother was descended from Polish Jewish immigrants of the 1870s.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley grew up in Tavistock, Devon, England In 2003, while studying at Tavistock College, Huntington-Whiteley was discovered by Profile Model Management while seeking internships with several London based modelling agencies. Prior to being signed as a model, she never considered modelling as a career; she originally intended to work in the fashion industry "behind the scenes".After receiving her GCSEs Huntington-Whiteley left school midway through her sixth form where she was voted in her school yearbook "Person Most Likely to become a Supermodel"
